Join the Cops on Top Climbing Team
Cops
on Top accepts inquires from those interested in joining our climbing
teams. The selection of participants is a very serious matter. The compatibility
of the team members is the most important factor in choosing an expedition
team,
even above that of technical ability and mountaineering experience.
The reason is simple; each climber must live with each other in close
quarters, under strenuous conditions, for a period of weeks. A
relationship of trust is
essential, and it is not an exaggeration that their lives are dependent on
each other.

Because of the nature of our cause, personal
experience or a close association with law enforcement is preferred.
Other desired qualifications include winter mountaineering,
first aid, and crevasse rescue. Also, you should have a proven
familiarity and comfort with self-sufficient campcraft in wilderness
situations for extended periods of time.
The final team will be based on the collective skills and experience of the team over the qualifications of any one individual. |
We'd love to clip you into our rope if you find this interesting and challenging. Please remember, although we do seek and accept sponsorships, our expeditions teams are largely self-funded.
Future climbs are expected to Denali, Aconcagua, and Kilimanjaro. Team and individual training climbs are prerequisites to the actual expeditions. Please familiarize yourself with the Cops on Top Waiver of Liability prior to inquiries about joining the team.
